Today, the tradition lives in Hatay, Turkey, where the same climate, the same laurel groves, and the same methods produce the world's finest bars. Our source has been making soap for over 40 years. They know one thing, and they know it completely.

October — November
Harvest
Laurel berries are hand-picked from wild trees in Hatay at peak ripeness. The window is just 6 weeks.
November — December
Extract
Berries are water-extracted the traditional way — not cold-pressed. The dark green oil that rises to the surface is the soul of Aleppo soap.
January
Cast
Olive oil and laurel oil are combined and poured into large floor molds. The soap floor is cut by hand into bars.
One year minimum
Cure
Bars are stacked and aged. The outside oxidizes to brown. The inside stays green. That contrast is how you know it's real.
